Foot care is a cornerstone of our practice. Regular care is essential for keeping your feet in optimal condition, preventing potential issues before they start. Our foot care services are performed by a chiropodist and include nail trimming, callus and corn removal, and general foot assessments.

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetic foot care is a critical aspect of our services. Individuals with diabetes are at at higher risk for foot complications, making specialized care essential. Our clinic offers comprehensive diabetic foot assessments, nail trimming, corn and callus removal, wound care and preventative education to help manage and mitigate the risks associated with diabetes-related foot issues.

Nail Fungus

Fungal skin and nail conditions are all too common. We provide many topical and surgical solutions to help you address these stubborn conditions.

Plantar Warts

Plantar warts are viral skin growths which can be painful and may spread. We offer various topical and surgical treatments for plantar warts.

Foot Surgery

For those requiring surgical intervention, our clinic offers a range of surgical procedures performed by Jake Cahoon, including minimally invasive techniques to permanently address ingrown nails, fungal nails or deformed nails, hammertoes, plantar warts and cysts.

All surgeries are done in office under local anaesthetic. You will be able to walk on your foot immediately after surgery.

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are another cornerstone of our practice. These specially designed shoe inserts are crafted to provide optimal support and alleviate discomfort caused by various foot conditions, including plantar fasciitis, flat feet and arthritis. By using advanced structure scanning technology, we ensure that each orthotic is custom for your unique foot shape and mechanics. This enhances comfort and improves overall function.

Orthopedic Shoes

Orthopedic shoes are designed to accommodate custom orthotics and provide the base of support the orthotic needs to function properly. They come in a range of widths and depths to fit a variety of foot shapes and sizes. Orthopedic shoes also have certain features designed to treat specific foot conditions. For example, an orthopedic shoe with a rigid forefoot rocker would accommodate an arthritic toe. Or a bunion relief zone would accommodate a protruding, painful bunion.

Compression Socks

We provide a full lineup of compression socks to help with varicose veins, tired, achy legs and swelling in the lower leg and feet. Compression socks are measured to fit to your specific leg shape and compression level needs.

Laser Therapy

Low level laser therapy (cold laser therapy) is an excellent, painless treatment for reducing inflammation and pain, while speeding up the healing process. We use laser therapy to treat a wide range of painful conditions, ranging from heel pain to forefoot pain.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy accelerates the healing process by increasing cellular activity and enhancing blood flow to regenerate damaged tissue. Shockwave therapy is an excellent treatment for painful heel conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. It involves 3-5 weekly sessions lasting only a few minutes each.

Taping and Padding

Taping and padding provide pain relief for heel pain, ankle pain and forefoot pain. Results are often immediate. Pain reduction is often noticed as soon as you walk out of the treatment room. Tape can be re-applied weekly or semi-weekly.

Corticosteroid Injections

Corticosteroid injections are useful for conditions that require short term pain relief or for conditions that have not responded to other conservative treatments. After an injection, pain reduction is normally achieved within 1 week. Corticosteroid injections are useful for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, osteoarthritis, Morton’s neuroma and plantar fibromas.
